This meeting provides the opportunity for the public to have a say in

I thought I'd write a quick note to let residents of Whitby Shores know
that there have been a series of car- breakins, in addition to other
incidents, happening around our streets.
Please ensure that you keep your car locked and keep anything valuable,
even spare change, out of sight. Please also report any suspicious
activity/persons in the neighbourhood to the police - 905 579-1520 ext.
6234.
To keep up-to-date with what's going on in your neighbourhood, make
sure you check in regularly with our

and let your neighbours know if you experience any problems in
the
neighbourhood so that we can all work together to keep watch and keep

Support our
Whitby Shores School Supporters this November Election
Two of our Whitby Shores School
Campaign’s biggest supporters are running for election this
November; Scott Templeton
and Trustee Elizabeth Roy.
Both Scott and Liz have dedicated an enormous amount of time and effort
to helping us move our Whitby Shores School Campaign forward.
Trustee Elizabeth Roy, who was
instrumental in the
initial development of our school campaign and its strategy and
continues to be actively involved at every stage of our fight for a
Whitby Shores School, is making the move to run municipally for Town
Councillor Ward 2. Ward 2, which includes Whitby Shores, is currently
held by Mark McKinnon. You can contact Liz at 905.666.3189.
Scott, who helped the campaign
organizers out
immensely in every possible way from flyer printing to presentation
strategy, and continues to do so, is running for Durham District School
Board Trustee. You can find out more about Scott and all of his great
work for our Whitby community by visiting his website: http://scotttempleton.blogspot.com/.

The Whitby Shores School
Campaign presented their case for an elementary school before the
Durham District School Board.
We had a great showing of
community support - approximately 250 supporters
from Whitby Shores attended, and that doesn't include the little ones.
There is still a lot of work to
do, but we're off to a great start!
