It's great to see construction starting on the new "un-named" school, especially after all of the hard work our community put into getting one over the last several years.

So, what do you think the school should be called?

They'll probably name it after someone but Whitby Shores Public School would make the most sense. Lynde Shores Public School would also work but might get mixed up with West Lynde.
I think it should be called Peter Perry Public School after one of Whitby's early fore fathers.

I feel a good name for the new school would be in keeping to the formation of the trail here and the Greenway and Waterfront Regeneration Trust.
The school would be aptly named for a man who has been involved.
His history and reputation need no
introduction;
" Honorable David E. Crombie."
This is Port Whitby and it's history is long and I think it is time to make it up to date with the new growth and regeneration of what hopefully will be a great new
community area in which to live.
